    1. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most engaged with what was happening?
    watching the film i learned techniques and conventions




    2. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most distanced from what was happening?

    i never felt distanced




    3. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find most affirming and helpful?
    the talk about how the film and use of shots told the story




    4. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find the most confusing puzzling?
    i never felt puzzled it was interesting




    5. What about the class this week surprised you the most? (This could be something about your own reactions to what went on, or something that someone did, or anything else that occurs to you.)
    how films use techniques from the film in modern day.

    During the shining as i found it o be a very interesting film.

    2. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most distanced from what was happening?
    I do not feel I was distanced because there was not much for me to do.

    3. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find most affirming and helpful?
    The teacher giving a background to the film before showing it.

    4. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find the most confusing puzzling?
    I do not feel this happened as the day was short.

    5. What about the class this week surprised you the most? (This could be something about your own reactions to what went on, or something that someone did, or anything else that occurs to you.)
    How interesting and how much of a back story the shining has.

    Nothing really happened to really be engaged in

    At no moment did I feel distanced just at the start of the class because I felt little tried

    Watching a film The Shinning and talk about Stanley Kubrick.

    Nothing really focusing watching the film

    Lindsay talking us through about auteur narrative and Kubrick

    1. At what moment in class this week did you feel most engaged with what was happening?
    when watching the film, it was loads better than i thought it was going to be and i wouldn't have considered watching it properly out of class but now i've watched it i think it's really good.

    2. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most distanced from what was happening?
    i didn't really feel completely distanced although it was quite hard to concentrate when we first came in because it was so cold.

    3. What action that anyone took in class this week did you feel most affirming and helpful?

    lindsay recapped on what we had to do for the presentation. this assured me that i was doing things right and made sure i knew what i was doing.

    4.What action that anyone took in class this week did you find the most confusing or puzzling?

    some of the comments that were made were irrelivent. this annoyed me as well as being confusing.

    5. what about the class surprised you the most?
    how much i enjoyed the film. its not a genre that i would usually choose to watch.
