Script Writing Brief

I've attached the scriptwriting brief HERE
If you have any questions about what you need to do add a comment to this post. I'm away from Friday 13th but will be checking the blog now and again.
In essence, you need to provide evidence that you know about and understand the commissioning process, research into scripts and possible ideas, produce a proposal, pitch script proposal and then write a draft script.
In order to write the script you will need to download a script writing piece of software. There are different ones but I recommend using Celtx as it's free and is a really good tool. The script you submit must be in the correct format - do not just create one in word.

1st Year Work
If you have work saved on macs or any of the external drives that you wish to keep, or if it is unfinished and you need it for next year you need to come in before Wednesday 11th July - next week.
First Diploma learners from last year should know about this process.
Every year (Summer) all of the macs and hard drives are formatted so that they are at there most productive for next year.
Andy and I are here today and Friday if you want to come in but can you please let us know if you will be coming in on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday so that we can be around - we're very busy at the moment.

Unit Descriptor for Script Writing
This is the link to the Unit Descriptor that corresponds to the script writing task I have set you over the Summer. I have already discussed this with you all and I asked you all to take notes, which I know you did.
Please read through it, especially the learning outcomes, grading criteria and also how the unit is assessed - especially the distinction criteria.
As you are aware these next few weeks are very busy and I'm away next week shooting a short film. Therefore, I will not probably see you until September.
It is my intention to post the brief for the task during the first 2 weeks of July so keep your eyes peeled.
